The Scioptic Scope is a traveling sun-powered microscope by Nica Ross and Ginger Brooks Takahashi.
Modeled after the first microscopes whose invention pre-dates the electric lightbulb, the Scioptic Scope harnesses the light of the sun using a mirror and allows users to magnify and view samples found and made into slides on site.
